Maintenance

A number of factors contribute to the floor maintenance program. The amount and type of traffic, environmental conditions inside and outside the building, the type of occupancy and the number of hours per day that the building is in use are all factors to be considered in determining the proper floor maintenance program. The primary objective of the floor maintenance program is to expose the natural beauty of the marble stone in Terrazzio. "Show Place" Floor Finish System by Johnson Wax is our recommended floor finish maintenance program for Terrazzio.  This high solids content floor finish has superior durability, it presents a high gloss, and it meets all of the ADA Slip Resistance specifications.  Also, Show Place is a floor finish that can be recoated several times, then easily stripped to allow a new application.  The benefit to this procedure is maintenance of your Terrazzio installation.

Daily damp mopping with weekly spray buffing may be sufficient for most installations. Under more adverse conditions, a daily spray cleaning and spray buffing with a floor-cleaning machine may be required.

Terrazzio is designed for high traffic, heavy usage areas, and a good maintenance program should be designed for the particular usage application. Proper maintenance will reward the owner with a floor of incomparable beauty and durability.
